Cold pressed oil made from the Camelina Sativa plant. Archaeological finds from early Celtic settlements prove that camelina was the most popular oilseed crop of the Celts,
probably because of its exquisite flavour and excellent nutritional properties. Camelina oil combines many of the positive characteristics of other edible oils. It is also particularly rich in alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3) and linoleic acid (omega-6).
Camelina oil has a very delicate and extraordinarily fine aroma, with a hint of spice and freshly cut dandelion.
Its flavour is reminiscent of peas and asparagus with a full and round, yet mildly spicy, taste. It is perfect for use with cold dishes, especially raw food and delicate salads.
